A busy start of 2012 @ the Lott3Metz clubhouse has turned into an eventful Spring!
So, before we lose any more of April, I wanted to share some of our upcoming events and invite you all to join us.
As frequent readers of this blog will know, we’re wrapping up construction on the first phases of the Fulton Street Farmers Market. Opening day is Saturday May 5th. So, while the shed and all the sitework will be complete and while all the vendors will be there bright and early and ready for business, the market won’t be 100% complete. We still need to raise some more money to complete the work.
To that end, on April 25th Tre Cugini is hosting a FSFM Fundraiser. Food, drinks, and a silent auction are all part of the fun. Get your tickets from eventbrite here. I’m looking forward to a great night.
Greg and Brian have been working with Nate Golin – current President of the AIAGV – to organize “River to Markets: GR’s Rising Urban Community” on May 2nd at the Wealthy Theater. They’ve asked me to present on our work for the Midtown Neighborhood Association and the the Fulton Street Farmers Market. I’m excited to share our work and tell some stories about what it takes to get things built in Grand Rapids.
Then, on June 16th, Lott3Metz is happy to be a sponsor of the inaugural T-Rex Fest at The Pyramid Scheme in downtown Grand Rapids. Greg worked most of last year to finish this new addition to the GR live music scene (project page to follow soon) and it has proven to be a great room for seeing and hearing live music. April Basile (The Pyramid Scheme’s manager) approached us to sponsor a band for the festival and when we heard that they we’re getting The Men in from Brooklyn, we quickly committed. So, on April 16th, T-Rex Fest at the corner of Commerce & Oakes in downtown Grand Rapids: Lott3Metz Presents The Men.
Color me excited.
